Jane Kay Routley, 80, of Mears, passed away suddenly at home on August 22, 2025. She has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior.
Jane has worked many jobs, from front desk clerk for a realtor to working at a canning factory. She most recently was employed as a CNA at a nursing facility in Hart.
Jane enjoyed crafting, crocheting, knitting and sewing, as well as making some clothing items. She was a volunteer at New Hope Community Church during their food pantry for many years, until she was no longer able to. Jane touched the hearts and lives of many people, friends and family. She will be sadly missed and loved by all, but never forgotten.
Jane is survived by: her devoted husband of 55 years, Roy Routley; brother, Allen (Gaye) Thompson; son, Jeff Alms; daughter, Sally (Raymond) Green; grandkids, Angela Green, Rebecka Routley, Jennifer Milikin, Kimberly Slusser, Anthony Blackburn, Roy Blackburn, Earl Alms, Melissa Schmitz, Serenity Schmitz, Carly Routley Diaz, Brandon Routley and Cameron Routley; and 22 great-grandkids.
Jane was preceded in death by: her parents, Earl and Dorothy (Smith) Thompson; brothers, Cecil Thompson and Bill Thompson; son, Jaicee Routley; and grandson, Joshua Bromley.
In accordance with Jane’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and services will be held at a later time.
