Cindy Fethke, age 62 of Shelby formerly of Hart passed away Friday, December 5, 2025, at Trinity Health in Muskegon, surrounded by all of her loved ones. Cindy was born in Shelby and is the daughter of George and Darlene (Gebhart) England.
At the Pentwater State Park in the summer of 1979, she met the man who would later become her husband of 43 years and the love of her life, Scott Fethke. They were married in 1982, and to pick out the best parts of those years would be almost impossible. They truly just enjoyed being together no matter what they were doing.
Their love was one of a kind.
For years Cindy worked side by side with her father, husband, and her nieces at her father's trucking company, George England & Sons in Hart. She often said those were some of the best years of her life.
She enjoyed flowers, baking and gardening, and picked up most of these passions from her mother.
Cindy also worked over a decade in the nursing field taking care of the elderly, and she loved every minute of it.
Up until her very last breath, she spent her whole life loving, caring and helping raise her two nieces, Dracie and Crystal. Anyone that knew her knew that they were the beat in her heart.
Cindy was a dedicated wife, daughter, aunt, sister and friend. She always made sure to tell everyone, even if she barely knew you, that she loved you... with all her whole heart.
Cindy is survived by: her loving husband, Scott Fethke; mother, Darlene England; brothers, Tim (Rob) England and Dave (Marian) England; brother-in-law, Rick (Desiree Mufson) Fethke; nieces, Dracie Arquette (Burton) and Crystal (Andy) Quick; great-nephews, Trevir, Braden, Andrew, Lantz, Waylon and Elias; great-nieces, Hailey, Avianna, Aria, and Maddie; great-great-niece, Alaya; and many other cherished family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, George England; her grandparents, George and Lettie Gebhart and Hubert and Marie England; her father-in-law, Richard Fethke; her nephew, Brian England; her niece, Alese Gonzales; and her sweet dog, Lacy.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m., Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the Masonic Center, 2680 N. Oceana Dr., Hart, MI 49420, with a luncheon and time for fellowship that immediately followed.
This obituary was written and supplied by the family of Cindy.
