Debra Lucille Gleason

Debra Lucille Gleason, 68, of Whitehall, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025.  She was born September 18, 1957 in Shelby, the daughter of Otto and Beverly (Adams) Verschueren.
Debra, Deb, Debbie, Miss Deb; however you knew her, you loved her. She was in a car accident at 23 where she suffered a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), yet she lived a happy life full of love and support. Debra was always smiling and trying to make others smile. She lived the last 27 years in an AFC home where she welcomed any and all residents that came through the door. She has been referred to as the OG and Queen. 
Debra is survived by; her mother, Beverly; children, Beverly (Daniel Colon) Figueroa and Lori (Ignacio) Ramirez; grandchildren, Charles, Christopher, Kim, Beyonka, Dakota, Jessika (Michael), Rusty (Andreya) and Brandon (Samantha); great-grandchildren, Logan, Madelyn, Steffon, Jamal, Za'Khiyah, Jasiah, Elijah, Magnolia, India, Sophia, Bentley and Silas; sisters, Mary, Connie and Vicky; and her family and many friends from NeuroRestorative.
Debra was preceded in death by: her husband, Thomas; father, Otto; brother, Rusty; granddaughter, Tristan; and great-niece, Hayley.
Per Debra’s wishes cremation has taken place. No services are scheduled at this time, but will be held in the spring.
Harris Funeral Home, in Shelby, is in charge of arrangements.
