Landon James Fekken

Landon James Fekken, 16, of Whitehall, Mich., joined his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 10, 2026 in the presence and embrace of his loving family.
Landon was born December 12, 2009 in Grand Rapids, Mich., the fourth child of Rachel Fekken and adored youngest brother to Morgan, Nora and Corina “Coco.”
Landon went to Whitehall High School, where he was part of FFA, played trumpet in the band, ran cross-country, took part in shop projects, SAGA and more. He attended White Lake United Methodist Church in Montague, Mich., where he ran the soundboard and took part in the youth group, mission trips, and various volunteering opportunities.
Landon especially loved hunting, gaming, tinkering, and snuggling up to his loved ones. He had a silly black cat, Heidi, whom he adored and spoiled. He was always dreaming: future building and restoration projects, careers, pets he could adopt and places he could live. No dream was too big.
Landon’s presence was a comfort to many. He loved all people and creatures, young and old, and he loved BIG. He was goofy with those he liked and tender with those he loved. His laugh and smile were a source of light to all who surrounded him.
Remaining to cherish Landon’s memory are mother, Rachel; sisters, Morgan (Benjamin Hare), Nora (Justin Inman), and Coco Monet; grandparents, Tamara “Tammy” and James “Jim” Fekken Sr.; great-grandmother, Rosemary Mansko; and countless other friends, family and other loved ones.
Landon was an organ donor and spent six days surrounded by tears and laughter with his closest loved ones as his body was healed and prepared for donation. On Tuesday, January 13, he was given his final goodbye before being released to Gift of Life, through which he will save hundreds of lives.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Friday, January 16, 2026, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, in Whitehall, Mich. Memorial services will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2026, at White Lake United Methodist Church, 8555 Cook St., Montague, Mich., with Rev. Tim Dibble officiating.
