Pentwater boys basketball cruises past Walkerville in district opener

Pentwater was too much for Walkerville in Monday night's district opener in Baldwin, defeating the Wildcats 75-5.
The Falcons blanked Walkerville 22-0 in the first quarter and never looked back. They advanced to face Mason County Eastern in Wednesday's semifinal.
"It was truly a total team effort from start to finish," Pentwater coach Ashley Lubera said. "The Falcons shared the basketball, defended with intensity, and made the extra hustle plays that define postseason success."
Eight Pentwater players scored at least seven points in the win, led by Abram Kieda, who had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Wyatt Roberts and Jacobo Martin added 12 points each, and Gavin Macher chipped in 11.
Edgar Vazquez had eight rebounds, and Martin swiped eight steals.
