Matthew Louis LeFevre, 74, a lifelong resident of Hesperia, passed away peacefully Monday, April 20, 2026, at the Newaygo County Compassion Home in Fremont.
Born June 15, 1951, Matt was a man who found joy in the simple, timeless pleasures of Michigan life. He had a deep-rooted passion for music and was a fan of Dodge cars and riding motorcycles. When the seasons shifted, he could be found picking asparagus and mushroom hunting. Matt worked at Quality Tool & Stamping in Muskegon Heights for nearly 23 years.
Matt was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia LeFevre, and his father, Donald LeFevre.
Matt is survived by: his daughter, Alisha LeFevre; brother, Michael (Debra) LeFevre; sister, Mary (Patrick) Griffith; nephews, Ben and Joe; niece, Kate; and many loving cousins. His presence will be missed by his many friends and neighbors who knew him over the decades.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the Newaygo County Compassion Home, 20 S. Stewart Ave., Fremont, Michigan.
A service to celebrate Matt’s life will be announced at a later date.
