Terry Lee Shaw, 77, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of June 2, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born August 27, 1948, in Ludington, the son of Robert and Ruth (Yeck) Shaw.
Terry was raised in Ludington, Michigan, and was a proud Michigan State University alumnus, receiving his doctorate from the University of Indiana. He devoted his life to honoring his community by serving on many local boards and as Prosecuting Attorney for both Mason and Oceana Counties. He was honored for achieving 50 years of membership in the State Bar of Michigan for his service to the legal profession and public.
He is survived by: his wife, Marcia Shaw; children, Kimberly (Tim) Harris, Misty (Chuck) Persenaire and Amber Shaw-Rogers; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Terry was preceded in death by: his parents, Robert & Ruth Shaw; brother, Greg Shaw; and son, Shane Shaw.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at First Baptist Church, 3258 N. 72nd Ave., Hart, Michigan 49420, with Pastor Ryan Vander Zwaag officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2026, until the time of services at the Church. A luncheon will be provided.
He will be forever remembered for his kindness, wisdom, faith and love for his family.
