Dave McClellan, 75, of Hart, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 24, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Born on April 13, 1951, in Hart, Michigan, Dave was the son of Lloyd and Naomi (Fishel) McClellan. He lived life with a passion for building hot rods, custom automotive work, and playing the harmonica. Whether he was in the garage bringing a classic car to life or sharing stories with family and friends, Dave’s undeniable skills, larger-than-life personality, and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Above all, Dave cherished his family. He loved spending time with those closest to him, and he created countless memories that will continue to be treasured for generations.
Dave is survived by his two sons and their families; three grandchildren; his former wife of many years; his brothers and sisters and their families; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shelby, Michigan.
Though his hands are now at rest, the cars he built, the music he played, and the love he shared will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew him.
