Michael Eugene Gabany, 67, of Montague, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, August 6, 2026, after a hard-fought battle with lung cancer. He was born May 8, 1959 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, the son of Eugene and Jacquelynn (Hall) Gabany.
Michael married his high school sweetheart, Cindy, in 1981 and moved to Montague in 1984. He loved riding his motorcycle, building model cars, being around his family, friends and his dog, Flash.
Michael is survived by: his beloved wife of 45 years, Cindy (Fleming); daughters, Crystal (Adam) Baird and Michelle (Clifford) Duvall; son, Michael (Andrea) Gabany; adopted son and best bud, Scott Eastman; and grandchildren, Devin (Brad), Adam Jr., Ryan, Zack, Aria, and Carter.
Michael was preceded in death by: his parents, Eugene and Jackie Gabany, and sisters, Pam Ronan and Cindy Kirk.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held Saturday, August 29, 2026, at their home.
