Reeths-Puffer's teams competed at Saturday's West Ottawa
Invitational, with the Rocket girls' young freshman runners continuing
their promising seasons.
The R-P girls finished fifth out of
six scoring teams, and Hope Gordon and Harper Roberts again led the
team. Gordon placed 19th in a time of 22:45.3, and Roberts was 23rd in a
time of 23:07.4.
Darcy Keefe finished 33rd for R-P (24:33.5),
and Riley Bordeaux was 34th (25:25.3). Grace Cosens closed the Rockets'
scoring in 46th place (27:55.3).
The Rocket boys placed
sixth, and Kyron Novak was the top finisher in 32nd place (19:48.3). He
had several teammates close behind him, including Gabriel Luna, who was
34th (20:00.7), Landon Learn in 37th (20:18.5) and Kasyn Novak in 38th
(20:23.7). Bo Blair picked up No. 5 scoring honors for the team in 46th
place (21:23.1), edging teammate Zachay Rought by just over a second.
