Shelby went 1-1 Thursday in two close matches at the Pine River Tri, falling to the host Bucks 25-23, 25-22 and defeating Kalkaska 27-25, 25-20.
Briar Peters led the Tiger offense with 16 kills, and Emma Stovall had 25 digs for the Shelby defense. Stovall also served five aces.
Izzy Rudat had six aces, all against Kalkaska. Peyton Rapes posted 23 assists and 21 digs, and Haylie Smith had three blocks, all against Kalkaska.
