Hart volleyball romps past Montague, sets up run at WMC Lakes title

Hart romped past Montague Tuesday night in West Michigan Conference Lakes action, ending the conference regular season and setting the Pirates up for a shot at the league title at this Saturday's tournament.
The Pirates defeated Montague 25-7, 25-16, 25-17, ending WMC Lakes season at 5-1 (23-12-3). Hart's only league loss was to Fremont, a loss it will have to avenge Saturday in order to win a share of the conference championship.
"We had a strong night overall as a team and really played well," Hart coach Shawn Bectel said." The girls seem to be getting better each time we take the court and are taking care of the matches we need to keep us in the running for the conference championship."
Hart was extremely efficient on offense, hitting .259 as a team. Reese Smith led the offense with 15 kills, and Peyton Erickson had 10, with a .500 hitting percentage. The Pirates also dominated at the net, as Jenna Babbin had five blocks and Erickson added four.
Calyn Eisenlohr had 21 assists and Grace Tucker added 17, and Alayna Schiller posted 22 digs.
