Our amazing John has made his final journey.
Born in Hollywood, Florida, he made his home in the Ft. Myers, Florida area. He worked in the construction industry as a successful truss manager at a local lumber company. He was not only an effective leader, but also a friend and mentor to many an employee. John retired in 2010 and made a permanent move to Montague, Michigan. He loved his summer kitchen, where he worked his magic on all his creations. What a cook! The parties he hosted with all his wonderful friends and beloved family were epic! He loved to socialize at the local Eagles club, always making new friends. His generosity and love of people were as big as his 6-foot-7 frame. He will leave a hole in so many hearts.
John is survived by: his devoted wife, June; sons, Troy (Diane) and Travis (Kalli); grandchildren, Ashlee, John, Nicholas, and Jack; sister, Vicki; and brother, Paul.
John was preceded by his parents, Amos and Janice, and also his sister, Barbara.
A Celebration of Life will be held next summer at his beloved Eagles club.
Remember this gentle giant with a big smile and love.
