Shelby capped the regular season Thursday night with a 2-0 win over Montague, the same team the Tigers will go up against in the first round of the district tournament Thursday, Oct. 15.
Christian Llanas scored both goals in the game, one in each half. Javier Cervantes assisted both goals. Oliver Gorton secured another shutout between the posts.
Shelby finished the regular season at 9-8-1 overall and 5-4-1 in WMC contests.
"Overall the team played really good," Shelby coach Cristian Arellano said. "It was probably the best game they’ve had all season. I’m very happy with the outcome and expect more from them. The hunger to get better should never stop."
