Hart came up short in a bid to knock off Division 4 No. 8-ranked Leland Saturday, dropping a 3-0 decision.
The
visiting Comets, coach Joe Gilbert said, limited Hart's ability to get
the offense going early on, but the Hart (2-2) defense did well for most
of the game against near-constant attacking pressure. Leland scored
three goals in the final 13 minutes of the first half before the game
was played more evenly following the break.
"The Pirates made some adjustments at halftime and were able to prevent
the Comets from doing any further damage," Hart coach Joe Gilbert said. "The Pirates created a few
opportunities of their own but were unable to capitalize."
Hart keeper Baleigh Klotz made seven saves in the loss.
