Pentwater golf wins first WMD jamboree; Bode Powell earns medalist honors

Pentwater opened West Michigan D League play with a win Tuesday at its home Golden Sands Golf Course, scoring a team total of 163.
The Falcons led runner-up Grand Traverse Academy by 14 strokes, with Bode Powell pacing the team by winning medalist honors, shooting a 38.
Powell didn't do worse than a bogey on any hole and made five pars in his round. Gavin Macher placed third overall and made a pair of birdies along the way.
Brody Austin shot a 42 for Pentwater, and Edgar Vazquez posted a 43 to close out the team scoring, making a birdie during his round.
