Pentwater lost a county doubleheader to Hesperia Thursday, 20-13 and 14-4.
The
Falcons' Charlie Swanger had a big game in the opener, going 3-for-4
with two doubles. She scored three times. Amelia Barter had a
run-scoring double, and Alazae Acevedo had two hits.
Swanger tripled
and scored in game two, and Karina Olivarez had a RBI double. Alyssa
Shafer, who recently joined the team, lashed a run-scoring double of her
own. However, fielding miscues helped the Panthers build a big lead and
ultimately win the game by mercy rule.
Hesperia statistics had not been reported at time of publication.
